Day 1: Morning departure from Athens City to visit Epidaurus Ancient Theater – Mycenae Archaeological Site – Ancient Olympia Archaeological Site.
First stop is at Corinth Canal. Then to a visit to the Epidaurus Ancient Theater famous for its remarkable acoustics. Driving on to Nauplio City for a short stop. Last site for the day Mycenae Archaeological Site where you visit the Mycenae Archaeological Site with the famous Lion’s Gate and the Tomb of King Agamemnon. Finally depart for Ancient Olympia Archaeological Site, through the central Peloponnese area passing the cities of Megalopolis and Tripolis. Overnight
Day 2: Ancient Olympia Archaeological Site – Antirion – Delphi Archaeological Site
In the morning visit the Ancient Olympia Archaeological Site. Drive via Patras city to Rion area, cross the channel to Antirion area on the “state of the art” new suspended bridge considered to be the longest and most modern in Europe. Arrive in Nafpaktos, then continue to Delphi Archaeological Site. Overnight.
Day 3: Delphi Archaeological Site
In the morning visit the Delphi Archaeological Site where you can admire one of the most famous monuments the Temple of Apollo in Delphi Archaeological Site . Continue with the Museum in Delphi Archaeological Site with the famous bronze Charioteer, the statue of Antinoos, the athlete Aghias and the Site at which you will admire the Ancient Sanctuary and all the renowned ruins of the “Opals” (Navel) of the Ancient world. Depart for Kalambaka village. Drive through Amphissa, Lamia and Trikala towns. Overnight.
Day 4: Meteora Monasteries – Athens City
In the morning, visit the breathtaking Meteora Monasteries, built on top of rock towers and providing fantastic views over the plain and in the early afternoon start the drive back to Athens City passing via Thermopylae and Kammena Vourla.
This is the end of this 4 Day tour to Mycenae, Nauplion, Epidaurus, Olympia, Delphi and Meteora Monasteries.
